Reading the numbers
Across the 11 model years of the Dodge Journey in this data, 2011 draws comparatively few complaints; 2009 is the outlier year.
Filings have fallen off, 6 in the last three years against 30 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 66,636 miles.

While driving at highway speeds the car shimmied and came to an abrupt stop without ever applying the brakes. Felt brakes lock and heard tires skid shortly after a loud thud under the car steering wheel felt as though the brakes had been slammed to avoid a crash with no warning at all. This has happened twice in a months time with no engine lights or warnings. Service brakes · reported at 26,500 miles
21,000 Miles and just replaced the rear brakes and front rotors on my vehicle. Called dealership to find out warranty information and it is only 12,000 miles/12 months. It cost me $300.00 To have them replaced and am not happy about it. In all my years of leasing my vehicle, I have never had to replace brakes on my vehicles at 21,000.
