In owners' own words
The brake pedal suddenly feels spongey out of nowhere. The car stops when the pedal hits the floorboard of the car. This has happened to me a couple of times now ever since I had my car. I have took it to my local pep boys but all they did was replace my brake pads. It fixes the problem for a couple months but it ends up happen again. There are no warning lights showing up for my ABS or any of the braking system. Service brakes
The vehicle braking system is failing during sudden or quick stops. We took the vehicle to a mechanic and they found no issues with the vehicle they could observe at the time. This was on 8/23/18. The brakes need to be pushed to the floor in order to slow the vehicle, if at all. This has happened again today, 11/4/18. The vehicle did not want to stop and took multiple pumps of the brakes. Driving the other day, I had to make a fast stop and my brake petal went all the way to the floor. I barely missed hitting the vehicle in front of me. I swerved to the left and fortunately there was not a vehicle in the left lane. The brakes continued to go all the way to the floor for 24 hours. When I took it to my mechanic they returned to normal and they could not find anything wrong. Service brakes · reported at 145,000 miles
