This vehicle has had recall repair... Recall no. #98V189000 fuel system gas line: the vehicle was leaking fuel onto the ground and there was a strong odor of gas inside the vehicle. The problem has been repaired, but now the vehicle continues to stall while driving at any speed. The vehicle has stalled at least 8 times since the recall repair. Repairs for recall 98v184000 had been performed on july 20, 1999. However, on october 14, 2001 consumer discovered that replacement o-rings were scorched, yellowish color, and were causing fuel to leak throughout engine compartment. Thus, increasing risk of a fire. Petition for recall remedy on recall #98v184 re the 1997 chrysler Dodge Intrepid for crack in the fuel rails and fail o-rings in the fuel injection system causing vehicle fires. *Ph the consumer begun to smell fuel fumes but was did not view exterior leakage anywhere throughout the fuel system.
