Abs has failed three times which resulted in extended stopping distance, and brakes were applied with excessive force. Vehicle was going 20mph, slowing for a stop when brake pedal got stiff and rolled to a stop. Abs light was illuminated and stayed on. Problem has gotten worse since a year ago. Abs pump/ motor/ module, and fluid were changed. Dealer was aware of problem. Please provide more information. Service brakes, hydraulic
Dodge has varying recall 96v099000 on hydraulic boast abs system: unlimited on boast pump, 100,000 mi on accumulator and transducer valves. Dodge replaces pump and warn that pump will fail. If failed accumulator and transducers are not replaced: cost $850. Brakes were defective, and vehicle kept going when the brakes were applied. Dealer replaced the accumulator valve. But, brakes were still defective.
