In owners' own words
I notified the dealer as well as the zone manager for the company of the problems, and never received any feedback at all. When I called the service department, they said since they did not do the work, nothing more could be done. This vehicle has been nothing but major problems. The vehicles are known for the transmission problems and nothing is ever done. The transmission began failing at 56,000 miles. Power train
Automatic transmission failed at 47,000 miles. After transmission was rebuilt, interior components of transmission would melt, requiring that transmission be replaced every two to four weeks after this problem occurred. This continued for approximately four to six months. Mechanic did not give consumer a reason for this problem. Please provide any additional information/attachments. Power train
Transmissiom serviced at dealer at 15252 mi on 6-24-96. Again at 32243 mi on 5-06-98 and again at 45163 mi on 8-10-99. On1-12-2000 diagnosed with leaking solenoid pack which was replaced on 2-02-2000 at 50954 mi at a cost of 284.00 On 5-24-2000 I was quoted a price of 1700.00 To fix an internal leak .This is most definitely a defective product and Dodge should bear the cost for repairs.
