I want ro know why the crank sensor isnt a recall. Mine went out this morning and luckily I was in my neighborhood and not on the hwy. It's dangerous and my car just cut off on me. I read this morning and there is quite of few people that had the same issue. There could be parents out there with a car full of kids and it could be extremely hot or cold outside. Two months ago my Jeep started bucking violently when driving after it sat for a month being driven maybe once a week. I refilled the tank with premium and it still didn't help. Took it to the shop and they couldn't find a problem. It stopped doing that for for about two weeks but now it stared doing it again. Driving along at speeds of 35 mph, the engine randomly shut off, locked the steering wheel, and came to a stop. This occurred on a residential street. The next day, the same issue occurred on a state route 28. A manual restart of the vehicle was required each time, and the issue occurs daily.
