Driving on concrete highway at 72 mph. Heard a rumbling sound like a nearby motorcycle coming from the right rear. Car is front wheel drive. Disengaged the cruise control, slowed and pulled to the shoulder. Discovered that the entire tire carcass had come off. Only the sidewalls were still attached to the wheel. Tire had about 10,000 miles on it and was probably at 32 psi cold. Goodyear eagle ls2, 235/45r18 94v. Wheels · reported at 161,000 miles
