While driving the vehicles motor looses power. The electronics stay on but the engine is shut off. Only happens while driving, it has happened once on the highway going approx. 65Mph, another time while going 55mph on a 2 lane country road, once while going 10mphin a parking lot and another while backing out of drive way at approx. 5Mph. Each time it has happened the vehivle has been in motion, going straight. Engine · reported at 56,000 miles
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The contact restarted the engine and the vehicle resumed normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 3200. Engine overheating, lost power while driving on the highway, coolant leaking, car was repeatedly trying to start on it's own without pressing the start button or having foot on break (I was outside the vehicle), sounds like it starts to crank over but won't start, drained battery completely. Many others with same model and year having similar issues. This needs to be a recall for this car Engine
