Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Takata airbag recall - I'm being told that no passengers are safe in the front seat of my car until "further notice". This car has been in the recall process for over 2 years and now there is no end in sight. I cannot drive safely, I cannot sell the car as it carrys a liability. I call the ford repair office every few months and am always told that the airbag replacement part is out of stock. No airbag incident yet. Air bags
Takata recall - dash damage to airbag area was not repaired and is getting worse by the day. Please note that the date shown below is the date that I emailed sutton ford in matteson, illinois... Pictures of the dash... It was damaged before they replaced the airbag and still damaged when we picked it up... We were told that ford would not cover the costs for the dash repair which is clearly caused by the airbag. Air bags
