In owners' own words

Speedometer is reading incorrectly on 2004 GMC yukon. It reads 60 mph when stopped and over 120 mph at approx 60 mph. My online research has uncovered thousands of these failures and several possible class action lawsuits are in the beginning process. GMC, to date, has issued no recall - the consumer should not be financially responsible for this safety issue - within warranty period or not - what do we do next? Speedometer of 2004 yukon slowed while driving ,causing me to speed up to maintain constant cruising speed. After a while I realized I was increasing velocity while the speedometer registered a decrease in velocity. The problem changed to result in a speedometer registering over 120 mph constantly even when stopped. Research shows widespread problems throughout GMC line of vehicles with speedometers. *A Electrical system · reported at 45,000 miles
I own a 2004 GMC yukon. The speedometer wored s eratically. It either did not registrar the correct speed or did not work at all. At times, appeared to registrar the correct vehicle speed. In any case it has created an unsafe condition because of not knowing for certain whether or not the speed vehiclewas traveling was correct. Electrical system · reported at 47,000 miles
