2001 Yukon XL 1)abs brakes resist between 1 and 10 mph; usually at or around 3 to 5 mph; consistently and only at these low rates of speed 2)usually causes stopping to be at greater distance than driver expects; although it did cause us to roll into an intersection the other day by resisting to stop. 3)My mechanic can find no problem with brakes, roters, etc... : The contact stated the abs system engages at low speeds of approximately 5-10 mph. There is a grinding noise heard as the braking occurs. The brake pedal has to be depressed to the floor before stopping will occur. There is an nhtsa recall, # 05v379000, regarding the hydraulic: antilock. The vin was not included in the recall.
