Flying sharp objects. From Dodge cracking dash. This problem is not caused by sunlight since my truck is parked under cover and is not available to the sun. The sharp shards of plastic break and crack off and make for a very bad place to impact the human body if a safety restraint were to malfunction or fail completely.
