In owners' own words
Truck pulls extremely hard to the left when braking. Has been in several times and hasn't been fixed, although many parts have been replaced. It has been at the dealer for almost thirty days now and the dealer has given up. It is unsafe to drive so I am making payments on a truck I can't use. Chysler hasn't contacted the dealer to try to rectify the situation, they say it will be another week. Service brakes, hydraulic
My 1999 Dodge RAM 2500 has 47000 miles on it. While going down a hill a brake line burst. I was able to get it stopped without damage. Had it towed to the garage and it appears that most all of the brake lines from the vacuum booster to the rear are very rusty and ready to burst too. Researching this I find this to be common with Dodge ram pickups. This should not happen with such low mileage. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 47,246 miles
When pulling load back brakes will not operate, and all work is done by front brakes. This causes front brakes to get real hot. After taking trailer off and going down on a dirt road, back brakes will lock up and vehicle will slide. Tsb 05-04098 was issued, stating proportional valve had to be replaced.*Ak also, the front brakes and caliper repeatdly fails almost every 3000 miles. Service brakes, hydraulic
