The dashboard of my 2000 Dodge RAM 1500 has been slowly cracking and caving in over the past 4 years. I fear this is a safety hazard as it will affect the deployment of the air bags and electrical components exposed are also a hazard. Dodge chrysler is well aware of this defect and needs to fix these pickups. We paid fair market for them and now we can't even sell an otherwise beautiful truck. Structure · reported at 80,000 miles
I have a 2000 Dodge RAM 1500. The dashboard on my truck is cracking. It's not only cracking it's falling apart. The pieces of dash "sharp plastic" is falling down into where electrical wiring is. Plus these pieces of dashboard is very sharp. This is a safety hazard. This is a serious problem that need to be address. The front cover and top of the dashboard on my 2000 Dodge RAM 1500 has been slowly falling apart over the last two years. I have removed the front instrument cover due to dangerous sharp edges. The top of the dash has split into four sections with numerous cracks radiating from the bolts near the windshield. Had a 6"x10" section of the top dash pop out and land in my lap when I hit a pothole. Structure · reported at 70,000 miles
