Dt: the contact owns a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The timing chain failed while driving on august 16, 2005 , causing the engine to stall. The dealership stated that the contact could have engine rebuilt which would cost $7000-8000 dollars or they could do it for $2500. The dealership could not give the contact any type of explanation as to why the timing chain failed. The current mileage on vehicle is 64, 200. Engine and engine cooling
I saw a light bluish smoke come from my tailpipe once and then later in my drive the engine started making funny noises and then all of the sudden my car seized up and shut off. It restarted but then shut down again almost immediately. My engine is completely shot says my mechanic with me getting almost no compression. My 1999 Chrysler concord engine seize after an oil charge. I got the oil change on saturday and monday my car engine was knocking and by the end of the week the car was parked in the drive way. I researched the web for information on this engine and pretty much everybody that has this engine will have to use out of pocket money to fix the dame thing that cost twice its market value to fix.
