Reading the numbers
Across the 9 model years of the Plymouth Grand Voyager in this data, 1996 draws the most complaints of any of them.
Filings have fallen off, 5 in the last three years against 10 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 89,000 miles.
In owners' own words
Purchased voyager 2 yrs ago, dealer showed us he had rebuilt transmission 2 months earlier. After 2 years, I have replaced radiator, "cooling fan relay" x2, the transmission was rebuilt again, the cv joint broke and cracked the transmission case (after it was rebuilt), the radio went out, the ac is completely gone estimated @ $1800 to repair. Brakes are grabbing and/or soft. Is this a "lemon"? Engine and engine cooling
Vehicle lost power & loud sounds started coming from under vehicle. The ding noise from inside kept ringing although vehcle was shut off. Battery had to be disconnected. Dealer said that they had to work on the serpentine belt before they could determine anything else was wrong. Bu tit had to be done at consumer's cost. Warranty didn't cover this component. Engine and engine cooling
2 Occurrences; while traveling hwy speeds, sudden loss of power, engine check light comes on. The dealer hasn't been able to figure it out. This is extremely dangerous since it's only done it at hwy speeds, 60 to 70mph. There is no warning for vehicles behind you and you have to get over to shoulder of the roadway with limited power.
