In owners' own words

Engine head gasket failed, causing loss of coolant into engine. Car had mileage of 70, 053. This is a common problem with 3.8L engine. Ford is extending warranty on later year models, but problem existed prior to 1994. I had the service performed by local garage and asked Ford for reimbursement but they refused. Numerous findings on the internet indicate that this problem is very frequent after 65,000 miles. Engine and engine cooling
Engine mount failure discovered by servicing dealer (dreager Ford, georgetown tx) while diagnosing transmission uncommanded gearchange problem. Problem was reported to Ford motor customer hotline but they refused dto acknowledge that the mount failure is a manufacturing defect. They state that they will not pay for the repair as the car is out of warrenty/has more than 60,000 miles. Engine and engine cooling
I am upset, that I got my oil changed every 3,000 miles, there is no other reason why my gasket can fail so early (at 84,000 miles). This is quite expensive to repair, and I believe it may have something to do with how the vehicle was made. That is why it blew on me, not becuase of my fault. If someone can get back in touch with me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Engine and engine cooling
