In april 2019, my car's right rear wheel lost air pressure while I was driving on the interstate. I discovered that the wheel had a hairline crack on the inside lip, so I paid out of pocket to replace the wheel. In september 2019, my car's left rear wheel lost air pressure while driving locally. The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that the passenger's side rear wheel was fractured. The contact became aware of the failure when the tire started to losing air. The vehicle was taken to vandevere Chevrolet (1490 vernon odom blvd, akron, oh 44320) where the wheel was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Both rear wheels have cracked!!! Gm refused to cover via their "bumper-to-bumper" warranty even though I understand there are hundreds of the 2017 corvettes that have suffered this serious, dangerous problem! These wheels (made in china????) Need to be recalled and replaced by gm before someone gets hurt! Note this is the 2nd wheel problem with these wheels. The other rear wheel cracked back on 6/1/2019.
