In owners' own words

At slow start stop speed the car will at times not respond to accelerator, car will not move for a few seconds. Contrary to many complaints of this problem the engine does not rev , it is as if there is no connection to the foot pedal.Usually happens when edging forward to exit a driveway.I have been nearly t-boned many times.Only forsight has kept me out of trouble so far but I'm afraid some day my luck will run out. Intermittent issues with transmission. We receive messages stating the transmission is overheated. We have also experienced high rpms with no forward or reverse motion when in drive and reverse. The transmission will not engage and move the vehicle. This has happened on inclines and within stop and go traffic. This is a safety concern because we can't depend on forward or reverse motion when in drive and reverse. Power train · reported at 12,000 miles
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson after the transmission recall, continues to have intermittent no acceleration from a stop / rolling stop. Rpms will increase but it will be 3-5 seconds before the transmission engages when the issue does occur. The car then jolts forwards because of the high rpms. I have had multiple near misses due to this. This problem has the potential to be life threatening and is completely unsafe. Power train · reported at 17,000 miles
