In owners' own words
The plastic bushings used in the wiper linkage assembly are poor quality and regular use weakens them or they become corroded. The bushing connecting the wiper transmission to the rest of linkage assembly detached from itself while I was driving during a snow storm causing my windshield wipers to stop working completely, leaving me with no visibility. The car had to stay parked where it was until the weather cleared. Visibility/wiper · reported at 61,000 miles
During heavy storm front windshield wipers stopped working. Windshield wiper motor still functioning as when i moved the wipers to see if the were stuck i can still hear the motor. Busy road speed limit 55 mph 2 lane county road with frequent hills. Turned on emergency flashers and luckily had a passenger to assist guiding me to the first driveway about .5 miles ahead so i could wait for rain to stop. Visibility/wiper
The wiper motor has stopped working. The wipers do no move when turned on. This is dangerous because it is impossible to drive the car when it is raining if the wipers are not working. Visibility is greatly impaired during a storm if the wipers are not effectively able to disperse the rainwater off of the windshield. I have replaced the wiper motor multiple times and the issue continues to occur. Visibility/wiper
