In owners' own words

Check engine light and a/t warning light remain on. Unexpected issue does not appear to have any cause that is based on driver usage of vehicle. Oem blogs for various owners of this model appear to have similar issues. Manufacturer is charging customers to update the tcm and pcm codes on programming boards, for an issue it is aware of. Codes appear to arise randomly, and not as part of vehicle being in motion. Electrical system · reported at 66,938 miles
When I put the car in park and push the button to shut it off only the engine shuts down. The auxiliary power (radio, etc) stays on and drains the battery. I have to restart it and drive it around, sometimes many times, before it will finally shut down. I looked online and found tons of complaints with many model years of this car for this same issue. Why is Mazda not doing a recall to fix this known issue? Electrical system
When placed in park and the button pushed to turn car off the engine turns off but the accessories stay on. Then you have to restart several times each time taking out of park and back in to finally get it to work. I've been dealing with this for over 2 years now and I'm tired of there not being a recall for this. There are a lot of complaints for this problem so Mazda needs to do the right thing and fix it!
