Vin tool confirms parts not available. Air bags
It is the airbags but I'm not sure if it's considered the takata recall. But I've received two to three different letters about the recall and I've gone to the dealership numerous times. Everytime they say they don't have the parts to fix and now the airbag light keeps going on and off. I called to schedule an appointment for one of the two recalls and not they are saying there is no record of a recall for my car. Air bags
I was driving and heard a loud pop. Looked at my passenger seat and saw the head rest came off the plastic holding in airbag. The bag did not deploy as far as I can see. I was in motion when it popped. I called to see if dealership would fix but they want me to pay since there is no recall but I feel when it comes to safety it should be fixed with no charge to customer especially when it was a malfunction on car.
