In owners' own words

Timing chain. Vehicle has service stabilization system and traction control messages come up on display. Vehicle very sluggish and will say "reduce power" on display. Driving down road at 55 mph and car goes completely limp. Have to pull over to side of busy road with wife and kids in car and have to come to complete stop, no power to wheels. Loud noise from engine compartment. Vehicle was driving down the road. Engine · reported at 83,000 miles
While returning from work the engine just shut down. It would not start. I thought it may have been the battery. It would barely turn over purchased a new battery and installed it .This all took about a hour and a half. Started the car and it knocked rattled and and squealed. I shut it down and had it towed home. I have no warning lights or codes on the dash what soever the motor sounds like trash Engine · reported at 107,000 miles
Check engine light came on had the codes checked and I had the engine taken apart twice because the timing chain had jumped causing it to run rough and light came back had to do again and it was fine for a few months but mechanic said the engine is the same as the enclave and acadia which both have had recalls on this issue. This happened the first time while car was in motion. Engine · reported at 165,000 miles
