In owners' own words

When driving the car it started flashing the abs brake light and traction control light, then the steering became very hard to do then it went into battery saving mode and the battery light came on. All of this happened without warning while driving. Was told by Dodge the alternator went out and that the v8's were not covered under the recall only the v6's even though mine did the same as the ones under recall. Electrical system

I was driving from my home to work at approximately 40 miles per hour and my car completely shut down. I lost power steering, power brakes, and the engine died. I took the car to the local Dodge dealer and they said that the alternator had gone bad and had also caused the battery to fail. I googled the issue and found hundreds of complaints concerning alternators failing while driving Dodge chargers. Electrical system · reported at 58,571 miles
