In owners' own words
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that the front passenger side door would not open from the interior or exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician advised the contact that the clips that held the panel in place were fractured and would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000. Structure · reported at 55,000 miles
Very simple. Hit the button to close the rear passage side sliding door, door started to close and cable snapped. Brought to Toyota and they said it was not under warranty and would cost $1,500.00 To fix. Told them to get to open in manual and leave it at that as we don't have $1,500.00. From what I see on your site this is an on going problem with Toyota and I hope you can get something done. Structure · reported at 1,000,000 miles
Sliding door is not working correctly, it appears center hinge bearing has failed. Van is not used that often. 2010 With only about 12k miles. It is disturbing to see so many other people on the internet also having many issues with sliding doors on Toyota van. I use to be a mechanic for college. It seems parts used are either under spec'd or cost saving quality to fail so soon like this. Structure · reported at 11,800 miles
