In owners' own words
My airbag warning light illuminated for no reason. I looked this up on the Jeep sight and this was a recall in right side steering wheel jeeps of the same age. Online numerous Jeep owners blog about a similar concern. I contacted Jeep and they indicated it was not a concern, contrary to the common concerns on Jeep forums. Soon after the recalls began to occur so I thought it prudent to express my concern. Air bags · reported at 140,000 miles
While driving off road on a washboard type surface at about 5 - 10 mph when my dashboard lights started to flicker and my airbag warning light came on. (It's still comes on and off). When we stopped the battery was hot and had to be disconnected and replaced, also with the airbag light problem the horn hardly makes a sound. My mech says the clockspring needs to be replaced. And it's a "rubicon" :( Air bags · reported at 45,200 miles
I am having a problem with my airbag light turning on and off repeatedly and dinging at me every time the light turns on. This problem just started after owning my vehicle since I drove it off the lot in early 2009. Upon research this is a very common problem that involves a very expensive part called the clockspring. There are numerous reports of this problem. This is a dealer only part. Air bags · reported at 51,100 miles
