We were pulling the horse trailer we hit a pot hole and the truck went into a death wobble .The steering wheel just shook and the tires felt like they were going to come off the whole truck just shook. This was a danger to us and others. For you had to almost come to a stop on the freeway. I have read pages and blogs on this same problems on Dodge trucks .Somebody is going to die before Dodge fixes this problem. Steering · reported at 55,000 miles
I turned the steering wheel and felt a thump. Kept happening for a week so I decided to take it in to chrysler and have it looked at. Service informed me that the lower intermediate steering shaft needed replaced. The u=joint on the shaft was worn out, and needed replaced. This also happened on another Dodge ram truck I own, but this truck is a 1998 Dodge ram 1500. Cost is $395.00 Plus tax/supplies to repair. Steering · reported at 124,439 miles
