The contact owns a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. The contact stated that the speedometer would not provide accurate speed rates. The speedometer would read that the contact was traveling 120 mph when the contact was actually traveling 60 mph. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer for inspection or repairs. The vehicle was inspected at a local repair shop where the contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. Speedometer reads wrong. Will be doing 55 mph and the speedometer says 120 mph. At a stop it says I am doing 80 mph. GMC wants over $500 to fix this. I am not alone in my complaint there are hundreds, if not thousands of others.
