The contact owns a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500. While traveling 4 to 10 mph the contact applied the brakes and noticed that the vehicle would vibrate and the stopping distance had increased. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic where the anti lock brake sensor was replaced; however, the failure continued to occur. There were no prior warnings. The failure mileage was 106000 and the current mileage was 107000. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 106,000 miles
The contact owns a 2001 chevrolet Sierra 2500. The contact noticed that the brake lines were corroded. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. : The contact stated the anti lock brakes failed to function properly. The abs system would engage while traveling 4 mph, causing a loss of brakes for a few seconds before returning to normal. The service dealer and manufacturer were notified and both informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa recall #05v379000 for the service brakes, hydraulic: antilock due to the vin.
