- While driving at 25 mph the engine on a 2002 hyundai santa fe completely lost power. The contact stated that the vehicle lost the power for the steering, and the power brakes. The contact stated that weather at the time of the incident was cold with some light snow on the road. Daimler chrysler will not reimburse me for a front end alignment performed at the time of a safety recall for ball joints. A safety recall for defective ball joints was mandated by the nhtsa on Jeep Liberty's. Ball joint failure can result in loss of steering control and crash. - The contact has a 2004 Jeep Liberty that is involved in the ball joint recall. The contact has called a dealership(causeway ford) in her area and, they stated that it can take 4-12 weeks in order for them to set up the service repair because they are only getting 4 parts a week.
