Dt: the caller stated while driving at 30 mph., All power failed in the vehicle, stalling the engine. After coming to a stop, the contact was unable to dissengage the automatic transmission from drive to the park position. No accident or injury occurred and no police report was filed. After inspection, the dealers mechanic informed the contact all the oil had leaked out of the vehicle and caused the engine to seize. Engine and engine cooling · reported at 46,000 miles
1. No events leading up to failure other than two prior events the same as this one. 2. Repeat of prior event. Started car, it shut off and stalls. Engine light comes on and stays on. 3. Dealer said if engine light is constant, it is ok to dive it to be serviced. Dealer found code p1687 for no bus message from cluster. Replaced cluster. Checked operations and cleared codes. Upon further inspection he noticed that the piston, and all other engine components had failed. It cost $3500.00. To repair the engine. The dealer nor the manufacturer have not been contacted.
