In owners' own words
The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the climate controls failed and visibility was reduced because the contact was unable to defrost the windows. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the electrical panel circuit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000. Electrical system · reported at 80,000 miles
Vehicle momentarily lost power and dash instrument lights went on (slip, vdc off, service engine soon). The ipdm (intelligent power distribution module) was replaced by the dealer in december 2011 for the same problems. My research revealed that this is a common problem with this model and year. Separately, high mount rear stop light no longer works. Research indicates this is also a common problem. Electrical system · reported at 115,000 miles
Air conditioning unit comes on randomly and would not shut off. At the same time, the radio became inoperable. Initially this problem would happen just a couple of times per week, but now it's a permanent issue. Infiniti recognizes that a problem exists, but will not recall because they claim that it's not a safety issue. This is a huge safety issue because I cannot control the front or rear defrost.
