The contact owns a 2002 Mercury Sable. The contact stated the rear drivers side tire was worn prematurely and was causing the rear of the vehicle to veer abnormally. The vehicle was taken to a local tire specialist who advised that the rear drivers side coil spring had failed causing the tire to wear. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer had not inspected the vehicle to determine the reason for the failure. Recall # 04v332000 concerned the coil spring, but the 2002 models were not included.
