The tire w/traction rating of "b" is inadequate for the weight of the truck. In wet conditions the truck will skid (when approaching a stop sign)when braking. I have contacted Nissan (claim no. 2889591) And was told that it is neither general 's or Nissan's responsibilty. I disagreed with Nissan and informed them that they are responsible for selecting this tire for the truck.( Dot number: tire size: p235 70r15 ) Tires
While traveling 65-70mph vehicle jerked to the side & lost control. It started to slide downhill & over an embankment. Finally, came to a stop & owner got out & checked vehicle & tires. Noticed a large hole in the right front sidewall where it had split. Tire had blown. Vehicle had not hit anything. *Ak tire was a firestone wilderness p215/65r15 95s. *Slc Tires
I've only owned this vehicle for 2 weeks. I have digital images of the tire and will send them upon request. The failure was sidewall blowout, not result of running over something.
