Abs-brakes go to floor when stopping. Stopping distance greatly reduced. Also, master cylinder was said to be leaking. Dealer replaced master cylinder, had same problem. Then they bled brakes and adjusted rear brakes. This helped alittle as far as stopping distance, but brake pedal still goes to floor when making a fast stop at most any speed. While driving, consumer attempted to make a right turn, however the brakes failed causing the steering wheel to lock and preventing the vehicle from stopping in 150 feet of distance before hitting a sign. Consumer lost control of her vehicle while lightly applying the brakes when she was approaching a curve in the road, the vehicle was in 4-wheel drive at the time and the consumer believes that a defect in the antilock brake system is the cause of this accident, at the time of the accident consumer was not informed of the recall 99i-006, the insurance company is seeking reimbursement.
