Too much pressure has to be applied in order for the vehicle to stop. There is a noise emmiting from the abs control box under the hood. This is my wifes car and this abs drake problem was suppose to be fixed at the time of recall,but I was driving it dec. 9 2000 When I had to slam on the brakes .At frist the drakes locked up when the pedal pulsed and then went to the floor and I had no barkes at all. I would like for the people from GMC to put there wife and kids in this car and let them drive it for a week or two. Service brakes, hydraulic
Driving at approximately 20 mph, approaching a stop sign, stepped on brakes, delay in braking and brakes locking, about 5 car lengths before it stopped. Dealer replaced brake pads, turned rotors. 2 Days later, felt as though half brakes were working, others were not. Had to apply heavy brake pressure. Dealer then replaced master cylinder.
