The mechanic stated that he had 6 1991-1993 Dodge Dynasty 3.3 Liter engine, multiport fuel injection system with a defective problem involving the fuel rail in the o rings which shrinks and expands, causing a crack, resulting in a fuel leak, which may start a fire. Manufacturer is on national back order for the fuel rail. Please provide further information. Fuel system, gasoline
Gas rail sits on top of engine (passenger side), at first I just smelled a whiff of gas occasionally, then the smell became stonger, gas was coming out of the gas rail, at times even squirting a small stream, gas was falling on hot, electrical engine components on top of engine, the running down the side. The fuel rail is leaking from two spots. This was discovered by a mechanic after owner took vehicle to shop for heavy gas fumes. The vehicle is being held at the body shop for repairs. The part is on back order. Please provide any further information. Fuel system, gasoline
