In owners' own words

Traveling on I70 on 9/3 at 70 mph around 2pm the car stopped abuptly and displayed Emergency Stoppage and made an SOS call to BMW. After a few minutes the car was retarted and we proceeded to our destination. No injuries or damage since there was no one behind us. Dealer told us not to drive the car and it iwas towed to BMW Service. Service brakes
The car is unsafe to drive due to a brake recall safety issue. The dealer instructed me to leave the vehicle and obtain my loaner car, as they do not provide this service despite the car warranty. Additionally, the electronic system turns on by itself, causing the car to turn on and off, making it unsafe to drive. Service brakes
Manufacturer has failed to address recall in a timely manner. It has been 2 months now with no update on safety recall remedy, and there is still no estimate time frame on when the remedy will be available. Vehicle is unsafe to use as brakes are not performing properly, there is extended stopping distance. Service brakes
