Twice in the first 6000 miles this vehicle has suddenly activated the forward collision avoidance system with emergency breaking although no cars were around. Fortunately a vehicle wasnât behind me otherwise there may have been a collision. I took the vehicle in for service with this complaint and the dealership simply said they could not reproduce the issue during a test drive. Obviously this wasnât helpful. Forward collision avoidance

When driving through an intersection, the vehicle incorrectly applied the automatic emergency braking system. There was no risk of crash, however the application of the hard braking in the intersection put me at risk of a rear collision. I do see that the new recall is supposed to address this issue.
