Check 4x4, check DEF( def is still at half full), check trailer( no trailer is connected) Took to dealership, 4 active codes P0336, P12A6, U029D, U029E. Tail gate is opening on its own. We checked the recall list and although our year, make and model is listed, the vin# doesn't show a recall. Clearly, there are more vehicles affected than GMC has included. This is a very serious safety issue and we thought you should be aware that perhaps the recall on the tailgates involve more vehicles than they've included. Electrical system

Vehicle gives "shift to park" warning when already in park. Occasionally, vehicle will not shut off. Once it does shut off, dash lights and controls do not shut off. Vehicle will not lock upon exit.
