Reading the numbers

Filings are rising — 240 in the last three years against 70 in the three before. For a vehicle this age that usually points to a wear-related failure owners are hitting now.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 12,000 miles.
In owners' own words
The gas gauge/mileage reader does not turn on in colder weather. There is no ability to tell how much gas is left in the tank or how many total miles are on the car. We ran out of gas on the middle of the highway because the gauge was not displaying how much was left in the tank. There are numerous reports of the same issue on this forum https://www.hrvforum.com/threads/fuel-gauge-goes-in-and-out.41212/ Electrical system
Failure of my Odometer/fuel gauge/ outdoor temp. This dial seems to go blank/black screen! This seems to happen in colder & wet weather. This could be a real SAFETY issue if my car ran out of gas on a 4 lane highway due to not being able to see fuel gauge! Also NOT being able to track mileage for oil changes or mileage for replacing tires! I am willing for NTSB or Honda to inspect my car! Electrical system
