The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the steering wheel stiffened, and it became difficult to steer the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the power steering warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. Hi, my steering wheel suddenly stopped working properly, when I press the brakes my steering wheel gets hard making it difficult to turn. It happened as I was driving home from work when I turn off the car it was sometimes drive normal but then after pressing the break the wheel will get hard. I seen there was a recall with the same description but my vin number isnât included could you please check into this! Steering
I drove the car 4 miles then turned it off and parked. Upon starting the vehicle again the power steering failed. A warning on the dash indicated that the power steering was not working and to drive carefully. I drove the car back home 4 miles and parked in the garage.
