The contact owns a 2015 GMC Canyon. The contact stated when vehicle the vehicle was started, the power steering assist warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the contact was informed that the vehicle could not be diagnosed until after the holiday. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Experiencing loss of power steering while driving. There has been a recall for this issue, but my vin number, [xxx], does not fall into the parameters for the recall. Presently, the vehicle is at henry brown buick GMC in gilbert, arizona. This is a very dangerous condition! The recall must be expanded! on 5/24/2023 as I was driving the wheel became stiff, I was unable to continue driving. I had to shut down in the middle of the road. I turned the vehicle off and restarted it. This fixed the issue. on 5/25/2023 as I was driving the exact same situation occured. I have not driven the vehicle since parking it at a relatives driveway .
