In owners' own words
Power Steering Assist fault light came on in dash with loss of power steering. Ford has recalls for Ford Taurus from 2/2012 and 9/2012 recalling for this exact issue. Ford advises my car was not covered due to being manufactured 3/2012 despite coming from same assembly area, Chicago, as other covered vehicles. Repair shop I brought my vehicle to diagnosed issue and vehicle will be towed to Ford dealership for repair. Steering

No electronic power steering. Ford had a recall on this issue but it doesn't cover this car by the vin. But it's the same issue with the recall. I talked to Ford and basically told me sorry about your luck. Is there anything else I can do about this cause I don't have 2500$ to fix their problem. The car only has 61000 miles on it I've been driving around with little to no power steering for four to five months. Steering · reported at 60,000 miles
