Engine locked up and needs to be replaced. I was told there was no oil in the engine at all, which seems to be due to a design defect causing no excessive engine oil consumption. I was driving on the interstate and barely made it the shoulder when the car seized up and died. No low oil light ever came on. Hi all, iam the owner of Scion TC 2007 since 2015 and using this vehicle to commute to work and home. I have been experiencing massive amount of oil consumption right after I bought the car. I have to put 1 or 2 quart of synthetic oil after every 1500 miles or so, it cost me alot more than average. Please help me regarding this issue. Thanks and regards . I went to walmart to get a oil change, but they refused to change the oil because the oil stick wasn't registering any oil. I was told to add 2 qts. Of oil and then they would change the oil. I noticed recently that again my oil stick isn't registering any oil. I have no oil leaks or spills around my vehicle when I park. Engine · reported at 68,000 miles
