Left low beam headlight on my 2007 Saturn Outlook failed for the third time in three months at approx 40,000 miles. From other reports on same issue it appears the wiring harness/socket assembly may be faulty and needs to be replaced; but parts are reportedly hard to get and the harness/socket has not been fixed. My passenger headlight went out and before I put a new bulb in, it came back on for a week. My headlight then went out and stayed out. When I went to change the bulb, I saw the black wire insulation on the harness was melted and also the plastic of the bulb contact was melted. I have worked with electrical wiring for 30 years and believe the wire size is too small for the current that the headlight draws. Exterior lighting · reported at 52,500 miles
The high and low beam headlight on the passenger side of my 2007 Saturn Outlook only works sometimes. It normally comes on when the vehicle is started but after a few minutes it goes off. It continuously goes on and off when I'm driving it. The bulbs are both good. I have taken it to the dealership twice and they are not sure what's wrong with it.
