The vehicle was towed to the driver's residence where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The dashboard has large cracks both in front of the instrument panel and around the airbag. This exact same problem has been reported by more than 4,000 gm truck owners. The cracking around the airbag are especially concerning, and likely pose a significant safety risk were the airbags to deploy.
