Cataylitc converter cracked, six to eight inches along welded seem with less than 50k miles. Two seperate Nissan dealers have recommended repairing the catalytic converter, with part #20711-5w90a, a band and sealant kit, at customer's expense, denying the defect in workmanship is covered under the federal emissions 8/80 warranty. 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. Cracked resonators/catalytic converters under vehicle allowing exhaust gas to enter vehicle. This is a very common problem with 2002/2003 Pathfinder owners and Nissan refuses to take action to correct this dangerous issue.
