At slow speeds (<5 mph) the abs system engages during the course of normal braking. This results in the car being unable to stop within expected stopping distance and led me to bump into a car stopped at an intersection. The problem cannot be linked to worn brake pads as these were replacaed only 4 months previously. Dealer has been notified. Service brakes, hydraulic
My 2002 Cadillac Escalade has braking issues under 5 mph. It appears the abs system is activated which takes the vehicle longer to stop. The brakes get very spongy and do not respond immediately. This has caused me to get into some very close calls when trying to stop. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 47,000 miles
