The cam shaft position sensor failed. As a result, engine sensor light stayed on. Recall 04v357000 was issued, however dealer stated the engine serial number was not included. *Ak the vehicle check engine light comes on and the dealer advised that engine number was no listed in the recall list. The vehicle's cam shaft positioning sensor failed. *Nm this faulty sensor caused the vehicle to stall while driving. Although the sensor was replaced the vehicle continued to stall. The technician indicated that when the cmp failed the vehicle must have run long enough to cause the valves to mess up. The tech indicated that he would have to pull the engine and have the valves reground. Engine and engine cooling
Intermittently, the check engine light appeared on the dashboard. The consumer received nhtsa recall 04v357000 on the camshaft position sensor. In addition the consumer was unable to locate a dealer in the area to honor the remedy. Please provide further details. Engine and engine cooling
